    Helicopter down

    by NoSiG » Fri Aug 01, 2014 10:37 pm

    There is a report of a helicopter down in Co Offaly on the RTE website:

    http://www.rte.ie/news/2014/0801/634702 ... er-offaly/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

    I'm glad to hear that there were no injuries.

    What is the relevance of it being near a school? In the middle of the summer holidays?

    It looked to me to be quite close to a private dwelling house. Do the people who live here

    not matter or am I missing the whole point?

    Michael.

    Hi Michael,

    You state: What is the relevance of it being near a school? In the middle of the summer holidays? Probably of little relevance, but you know the press, they have to sensationalise every story. In fact the small shed in the top pic is inside the school boundary fence. So it was close. At least, in many ways the insurance company will be VERY relieved!!.
