Just to echo Shrtfld, an excellent show put on today in EIAB. Many thanks to the organisers, safety crews and the pilots. I even managed to get a bit of a tan!
Special thanks to Eddie G for smothering me in a cloud of display smoke at the end of your routine (I was the photographer lurking under the wing of the (excellent) Pipstrel)

Great afternoon in Abbeyshrule,no gaps between acts.Nice to see Jerry putting the Caravan through its paces and the Irish Aero Club for displaying EI-IAN and showing what she can do!! Also, just after the show based Cessna 210s EI-BUF and EI-CGH put on a nice little display, well done lads.
Re: Abbeyshrule Airshow & Fly-in
Well done to AbbeyShrule.
Great show lads with a very large crowd.
It was well organised.
See you all next year.

Re: Abbeyshrule Airshow & Fly-in
I'm going to have to take back most of what i said in my previous posts,i have to say well done to Angelo Cunningham on pulling of a good show,it ran like clockwork and all who participated were top notch especially
Eddie and Gerry's display which was brilliant.
Hopefully they can now keep it up and run it every year and get it back on the map where it rightfully belongs.
My gripe with the whole affair from the start was the charges on the gate which was pretty evident yesterday
judging by the crowd which was relatively small compared to past shows where up on four to maybe six thousand people would attend.
One or two acts from the UK would justify 10euro on the gate for example something like the Breitling Wing Walkers, just something different.
Maybe over time if they get some new and younger blood involved things could and probably would put EI-AB back on top of the airshow scene in Ireland.
If i for any reason put anyone's nose out over my previous comments i apoligse onreservedly, but at the end of the day when your running any event let be an airshow or other you have to remember its Joe Public who make up the profits,we're stuck in a recession, people are looking for value for their money on a day out, don't rip them off they'll only get caught out once.
