how many aircraft aer arann have ?

hi guys and galls

just wondering does anybody know how many aircraft aer arann operate as i am doing a small presentation on them in college and i want to include that they only operate atr's i just dont know how many they have i know they put in an order for 10 new atr's in 2007 but i wonder did they keep and still operate the older atr's they had

any help would be nice cheers

Not sure about how many ATRs they have but they do have a few Islanders in their Aer Arann Islands operation.

ye i seen that alright its hard to find out how many aircraft exactly the main airline has excluding the islanders i think there is two or three or them

Don't believe what you read on wikepedia as anyone can make it up. Chances are it's right but it's far from official.

As Pearse said, give them a call and get the exact figures, even have a poke around the website, they may have a recent financial/investor report with aircraft numbers.

I did a college project on airlines about two years ago, Aer Arann were really helpful and friendly, they even allowed me to interview one of their staff for 30mins.

Aer Arann currently have 13 ATR's. 4 of which are 42's and the rest are 72's. (Mix of 72-500, 72-212 & 72-201)
A few orders yet to come. Most recent aircraft would be SLM, SLL, SLN. 1
Aer Arann Islands is a completely different company and both companies actually have nothing to do with each other.

Aer Arann fleet at the moment is as follows,

ATR 42-300 EI-CBK, EI-CPT, EI-BYO, EI-EHH.
ATR 72-200 EI-REH, EI-REI.
ATR 72-212 EI-SLL, EI-SLM, EI-SLN.
ATR 72-500 EI-REL, EI-REM, EI-REO, EI-REP. EI-SLL, EI-SLM, EI-SLN.

Also DO 328 G-CCGS, G-BWWT and G-BWIR have been hired in at different times over recent months.
As far as I know Aer Arann Islands is a separate entity.
