A380 For Portrush

Just got word that the Airbus A380 is to display at this years Portrush Air Show (Saturday only)

More than likely it'll be F-WWDD, in Airbus Livery. Of Oshkosh fame....31/7/2009

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes pics. I'm guessing it'll be a few years yet before an A380 will see regular Irish service so this will be quite a treat.

Hi guys I've got loads of pics, I'll be sending them to Mark, so he should have them available to view shortly. Unfortunatly the Airbus only did two flypasts and both were pretty far away, most people seemed a bit dissapointed as they appeared to be leaving in droves after the Airbus pulled skyward and didn't return, even though there was alot of aircraft left to display.
I myself drove ( I kid you not) 400.1 miles, there and back, especially to see the Airbus and I can't help but feel dissapointed in it's display. Other than that, a fantastic airshow, well done to the organisers, Portrush is a perfect setting for an airshow.

That's a shame.....

She is a beauty. I saw an Eimerates A380 parked beside a Singapore Airlines 747 @ JFK last December, and a Qantas A380 on short finals to LAX in June.
Really impressive Aircraft. How was the weather ? ? Maybe there was an altitude restriction ? ? Or terrain restriction ? ?
