contrails since I was a small boy and this is quite different.
I was flying all day on Saturday and Sunday. There was plenty of high level cirrus around, ideal for the formation of long lasting contrails as explained in the article.Long lasting contrails like the ones observed usually occur in parts of the sky that have preexisting patches of cirrus clouds.
