SNN and ORK second runways

SNN and ORK second runways
Has an extension for SNN 13/31 or ORK 07/25 (northwest and west respectively) to give more options to 32x/73x traffic in x-wind situations ever been seriously planned? I know turboprops use ORK 07/25 sometimes.
On occasion even bigger aircraft like B737's and before BAC 1-11's regularly used 07/25 at Cork.
A runway extension for this is really unfeasable as there are roads running either end that would have to be re-routed or tunnelled under.
Cross-winds are not a very big issue in Cork as the wind is predominantly South-Westerly - not making for a very large cross wind component when using 17.
Quite simply the airport doesn't have any money to do this even if it wanted. They need to sort out the ?160m debt first!

they could have done with the old 23 Rwy (23 or 24 ?) at EIDW today ,wind was 240 degrees 37 kts min 20 kts gusting to 50 kts. a number of aircraft made attempts to land and then had to divert to Shannon and also Aldergrove. lucky enough the wind was similar to Dublin but you have Rwy 06/24 at Shannon.
some aircraft were able to land at Dublin , it's days like today that pilot's earn their money.

There were reportedly larger aircraft using 25 for takeoff and landing during the recent windy weather. Didn't witness it myself (unless a Citation counts) but heard one Aer Lingus flight request 25 for takeoff over the scanner and heard of numerous others.
Sooo, with such a strong crosswind there's no need to lengthen the runway as less runway is required
Thats my story and I'm sticking to it
