Helicopter Photos

Post by mark » Wed Nov 22, 2006 9:56 pm

Hi guys,

I'm currently updating the aircraft register and I'm looking for a few helicopter photos to keep it up to date. If anyone has any of the photos I would appreciate it if you let me use them on the register. Many thanks in advance.

Hi Vertical,

The last three look like Oranmore, is that right. But could you
say where the car park is where and when NDB landed.

Thanks,
Hugo.

They are all based at Oranmore with Executive Helicopters. NBD is in the carpark of Ard Ri in Waterford. Hotel closed so no cars. NBD in the air over Connemara. In formation with EI-RAV

Thanks for that Vertical.

NBD is in the carpark of Ard Ri in Waterford. Hotel closed so no cars.
I had previously heard that the Ard Ri was a landing area. Any idea
of a date.

Regards,
Hugo.

Not sure what you mean by landing site. As far as I know it is going to be made into office block.

Hi Vertical,

I'm working on an historical database of all sites in Ireland used
for aviation of any discription and that would include places like
the Ard Ri hotel. To date I have over 1300 seperate sites listed
and its growing by the day. If you know of any more likethat I
would be very interested. BTW did you have a date for NDB landing
there.

Thanks,
Hugo.

Hugo, from donegal i see, something tells me your looking for landing fees for the ard ri hotel.............maybe im wrong. But i cant see what interest you would have in the date and time a heli landed at a certain spot. Lots of helicopters use the Ard Ri on a weekly basis, i have been in there at least 20 times since it was sold. :?

Just the date, CVR. Mind you I wonder if I invoiced all those who use
the Ard Ri, would they send on the landing fee's to ME
Just more info for my database, nothing else. Certainly nothing more sinster than that. I'm intrigued now. You say you've flowen in about twenty times since the hotel closed. Is it regarded as a regular landing
pad or just a temporary place until the redevelopment starts. And if
you could help me with some more similar landing areas, I would be
most greatful.

Hugo.

CVR your very suspicious. Hugo that Heli goes there every week. That photos was from 23/06/06. You can include Abbey Glen in Clifden, Armada in Spanish Point, there is a marina on the river in Ballinasloe (cant remember name), my garden, CVRs garden and any other hotel or pilots garden. Too many to mention. Hope this helps. Helis land everywhere.

Thanks for the date, Vertical. I'm used to suspition, get it all the time. I have Abbey Glen already listed, but not the other named sites you mentioned. Yep any garden or field could become a helipad for the day
or more permenent if the neighbours or the local council dont stick their
noses in. Someone once suggested to me there was just one helipad, it's called IRELAND. I tell you that would simplify things a lot. Anyway if
anyone knows of other locations used, even one off's and not just helis,
I would be interested. Co-ords or o/s grids would be most welcome.

Thanks,
Hugo.

Much appriciated CVR,

Just two are new to me Paddy Burkes and Glenloe Abbey. Thank you
very much for your time and efford on the list. As I have been working
on the database for over seven years now, many locations do repete
over time. I collate data from many different sources, so it's not surprising that any list I get will have relatively few locations that
are new. That said any help is always very welcome.

Thank you,
Hugo.
