Spanish Point Fly-In 2013 - 31st Aug/1st Sept

Post by Earhart » Thu Jan 24, 2013 12:53 pm

Spanish Point Airfield, Co. Clare is holding its annual Fly In on the weekend of the 31st August and 1st September 2013. Embracing The Gathering, the team have listed the Fly In as a 'gathering' and are welcoming, as always, pilots and aviators from overseas.

If you have a moment, please visit the Spanish Point Fly-In webpage for The Gathering http://www.thegatheringireland.com/Atte ... x?eid=2547

Your support is very much appreciated.

This grass strip is about 450m long and the field is generally dry. However, if there is prolonged rain during the days preceeding the event, it may be too wet 'under-wheels' to hold the event. It is relatively easy to find directly south of Miltown Malbay and to the east of the Spanish Point Road. The bright red wind sock pin points the spot.
Camping areas are provided and festivities shall continue after the end of VFR in the town of Miltown Malbay!

Spanish Point Airfield Location:

W 009 24.871'
R 24/06
Freq: 123.30

Just a reminder that you're very welcome in EISP this weekend for some flying and fun.

Can I just say a big thank you to all at Spanish Point for their welcome and hospitality. Large cups of tea and sandwiches were gratefully received when I popped in saturday afternoon with my cousin from Gorey. (G-BXGV C172R). Hope the weekend went well and that you had plenty of visitors.
