Ireland West Airport Knock Fly-In - May 2nd/3rd 2009

Post by mark » Tue Feb 10, 2009 2:15 pm

Hi guys,

Ireland West Airport Knock and the Connaught Aero Club will be hosting a fly-in on May 2nd/3rd 2009. All the details are below.

Before Christmas I visited the airport to prepare an article for the magazine which will appear in the March issue. They have been keen to promote their new services to General and Light Aviation including fuel, hangarage etc.

Ireland West Airport Knock – Fly-in 2009
Sat/Sun 2nd/3rd May
7/8 Prizes to be won
Function on Saturday Night
All Aviators Welcome
Aerobatic Display on the day
Free landing
Avgas available at special rate for the weekend

I'll post more information closer to the date.

Regards,
Mark

I was just over there on Monday. Looks like a nice place and
if anyone does a go-around they should be shot
The runway is about 10 miles long. It's a pity i wont be
around for this fly-in either. Have fun

Landing across the runway would be easily possible..........

Top facility and friendly ATC.........

On a non event day the landing fee for my 450kg MTOW machine is €13....

Landing card is €250 I think.........

Maybe you should have a go at landing a twin at Lukla - There's no point in doing a go around as there's nowhere to go......
