No chance of anything going supersonic in punchestown. Sure its surrounded by houses aswell Sure when your in naas the noise of the PC9's flying over is too loud for the residents, especially my aunt- she cant stand it every day screw her the noise of em is cool
It'd be the business if they did do a supersonic flyby though.
I see you have a RAF Merlin Heli aswell as the Hawk for the show, cant wait for the show!! Punchestown will be a great venue for the display.
I also heard the runway on the infield will be also used, i have flown in and out of Punchestown lots of times in the past.
Hope this will be made a annual event as a huge gap still remains from the old disorganised air spec at the Don from all those years ago.
There is also a huge area for static display, helis and smaller fixed wing types.also heard there will be a large agusta/bell and robinson presence at the show, are any helis going to be on display in the event centre
There will be rotary wing Aircraft on display both inside and outside of the event centre along with cars,Motorcycles,Model aircraft, saunas, hot tubs, pilot supplies etc etc
Breitling will also have a owners club Marquee at the event.
Not sure what the IAC have planned still awaiting confirmation.
Aer Aerran have confirmed a ATR 72 for show and as part of their 100 years celebrations the Irish Parachute Club will be doing a drop for the Airshow.
Denis Kenyon has also being confirmed for the show in the Sch 300 (first public display in Ireland)
Yes its in Portrush in Sept but its not going outside the UK so it wont be seen anywhere in the South, to be honest the line up at Mach 1 is not very exciting and its certainly not worth the asking price, Farnborough the biggest in the world is only 22 pound to get into. Going to Farnborough myself and also to Salthill which costs nothing.
