Bray airshow...well done

Post by Davey » Sun Aug 21, 2005 9:14 pm

Hello..
I attended Bray airshow today and id just like to say well done to all the organisers involved in making it possible..
I thought it was a great day out and to see all of those magnificent aircraft such as the Spitfire,Jet provost and all the rest for free was fantastic..
P.S. the programmes are great too!!!
Any other comments on the show??
Dave :D

wow!

Unfortunetely I missed the airshow, as I was at the Galway match in Croke Park. I did get to see 6 Yaks flying in formation following the Liffey presumably towards Weston?

The Beech is owned by Dr. Tony Walsh and is home based at Weston, Co. Dublin. Its the most famous one around as it flew Eisenhower around. Beech C-45H Expeditor (Beech 18)

Hi Heliops,

The Beech 18 is actually owned by Weston Ltd. (aka Weston Airport). It was bought from Tony Walsh about a year ago and has undergone extensive refurbishment which led to its return to the air earlier this year. Dr. Tony Walsh has since downgraded (:D) to a Rockwell Turbo Commander (N125MM) also based at Weston.

Mark

I just emailed the organiser guy about the distinct lack of Extra at the show.

Is that Beech 18 pictured as the centre page of the latest mag? Or is that different one?

Hi guys,

Would anybody be interested in writing a short report of the Bray Airshow for next months magazine? Email me at mark@flyinginireland.com if you're interested.

Heh, I'd love to Mark, but I really didn't pay much journalistic attention to the displays; I barely even videoed it. The JP was sorta the highlight...and even then, it didn't make nearly as much noise as a jet should.
