Good piece on micro-lighting round Mt Leinster on tonight's 'Nationwide'. Probably be up on RTE Player in the next 24hours.

They mentioned flying over Kilmuckridge on their way to Mt Leinster - anyone know where they were based?

The strip is Morriscastle Page 118 in Kevin Glynn's VFR flight guide. It's 0.75nm E of Kilmuckridge and clearly visible on

the Ordnance Survey Aerial photos of Ireland at grid ref 717850 642030.

I'll reluctantly download real player to watch that tomorrow. Why can't RTÉ use a more mainstream player....... ? ?

I was thinking the same Donal. Probably owned by one of the RTE directors!!.
Missed the prog, as I walked in the titles were rolling and flashbacks were been played. All I seen a was the wing tip of what I thought was a paramotor.
I asked my wife what flying were the showing and all she seen were two men in a small aircraft flying around. So when Holyflyer mentioned RTE Player, I watched that.

Many thanks hugo. I knew it must be somewhere near the wind farm but have never pinpointed it.

Hmmm : When I clicked the link :

We're sorry but RTÉ player is currently only available to viewers in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Viewers in other territories can still continue to access a selection of RTÉ programmes on www.rte.ie.

Thank you for your interest in RTÉ player and we will keep you updated on future developments.

Is it worth the hassle of enabling a ROI proxy for this ? ? hehe

It's never easy..........
