Hi there,

There's a regulation/document, laid out by the EASA, which covers the continuing airworthiness of aircraft. It's called EC no: 2042/2003. It's broken down into 4 Annex.

Annex 1: Part M Continuing Airworthiness
Annex 2: Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Approval (Aircraft above 5700kg)
Annex 3: Part 66 Certifying Staff
Annex 4: Part 147 Training of Certifying Staff

In relation to Part M it sets out the responsibilities of everybody involved, and it would be worth your while having a read of it so that you understand what your responsibilities are too. Subpart F and G are specifically related to the maintenance organisation for aircraft below 5700kg and of the continuous aircraft management organisation respectively.
Annexes 3 and 4 aren't really relevant other they are requirements of the engineers certifying your aircraft and and how they are trained while annex 2 is your larger aircraft facilities i.e. Shannon Aerospace, SRT etc.

Regards,
Bob

Hi Fast Oiseau,

There's a small bit of info on the IAA webiste (http://www.iaa.ie/index.jsp?p=141&n=448) with a link to a sample maintenance manual for a light aircraft. It might give you an indication of some of the work involved.
