UK flight tests in magazine.

Post by stovepipe » Sat Nov 06, 2010 2:04 am

Hi Mark et al,
What's the story with all the UK-origin flight tests? Is there a shortage of Irish flight tests?
regards
Mick

Hi Mick,

In short, yes there is a shortage of Irish flight tests. It basically comes down to our own time. The editorial team produces the magazine in their spare time, we all have full time jobs which leaves us very little time to do flight tests, especially considering the number of variables involved (wx, aircraft availability, photographer etc.).

Feedback from our readers suggested that many of them wanted to read more flight tests reviews. We came to an arrangement with a UK flying magazine to publish some of their reviews. Of course, when we get a chance to do a review ourselves (or one is sent to us), it will get priority. Incidentally, Hum has written an excellent flight test article (about a cool little airplane  ) to be published in the December magazine.

I know you have submitted some excellent flight test reviews in the passed so if you have any suggestions for future articles please get in touch.

Best Regards,
Mark
