Problem getting into albums in the Photo Gallery

    by rich42527 » Wed Jan 14, 2009 4:24 pm

    Hey All

I'm just wondering if anyone else having the same problem as me, I'm unable to get into any photo album or search in the photo gallery for some reason, it comes up with :

    Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /photo/thumbnails.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Apache/1.3.41 Server at flyinginirelandmagazine.com Port 80

I'm just wondering If anyone is having the same problem and if anyone can help me. Many thanks

    Regards
    Richard

This is the third time I have posted this information on different sections of the forum. Let me know if it works for you as it does for me.

Left click on main menu then left click on heading ie LIGHT AIRCRAFT for that category. NOT the name directly above the photo, but the one
    above that.

    Hot damn well spotted sir.
Works for me doing that, however, you can't get into the main page to view all photos. Only the most recent and 6 randoms :(

I didn't go that far in. I thought the rest would be ok, obviously not.
It may be a bit time consuming but you can use the slidshow or the blue
arrows to show one at a time. Certainly something badly wrong somewhere and it's been like that for a few weks now. Mark's probably tried to solve it, with no luck so far.

One other way which is to re-type the number of the photo you want after e.g. "album=9&pos=726" in your address bar . If you were browsing for photo 535 in commercial aircraft for example you would get "album=9&pos=535" . To me it suggests that individual photo (SQL) queries are accessible but the script that holds the functions for sorting the photos is either in or calls for a directory that has been locked from some or all users. The slideshow script is in a different file location probably.

The program sorting the photos has probably been updated and my guess is asking the developer (or Mark if he wrote the script) to roll back to an earlier version for the meantime would be a solution.
It only takes two things to fly:--- airspeed and money.

    Hi guys,

Thanks for pointing out some of the problems getting into the photo gallery. I've been trying for some time to get this back up and running but I'm having little success with it :(

Papa8, unfortunately I didnt right the script, I have only a very basic PHP knowledge. There was no updates done to the software either (any updates would affect the bridge with Joomla).

This website was hacked before Christmas by somebody who planted files on the server and used it to host fake banking pages to collect personal information. I'm now looking at the possibility that some damage to the photo gallery may have been caused during this.

I'm working on it, I'll have it back as soon as I can.

    Thanks guys,
    Mark
