Microlight Section??

Post by DonalMW »

Hello all, due to the large and ever increasing number of Microlighters in the country and the number of us that buy the magazine I think there should be a Microlight section in the forum, does anyone agree??
It would be nice to have a section like the helicopter flyers,
Just an Idea to improve this excellent website,

My_Bebo_Page!

Someone tell me if the above link actually works!!
Thanks guys,

I don't think there would be enough people at any one time to justify one to be honest.

But I like the idea of a microlighting section!

Well let's just start with the section now. Do you reckon there are more microlighters than heli heads???

By the way that bebo link works. You should be proud. :P

There's plenty of Microlighters out there...... I'm glad the link works, I'm not exactly what you might call computer literate!!..............
Good to see support for Microlight pilots, they make frequent apperances in the magazine so why not in the forum!!

The way things are going we all will be flying microlights. When I was home recently and flew down to Abbyshrule and flew in a Samba. These aircraft are extreemly popular here in the states. I fly a Diamond DA20 which, for the most part is a Samba. I believe these aircraft will be the aircraft of choice, cheap to run and a joy to fly. Of course there are thoes who like to go places afar,fast...there will be a few of thoes aircraft around at extreemly expensive prices.

In fairness, (A) aircraft do have their advantages, but for me, personally, their disadvantages outweigh them.

It's mainly the cost to be honest!

I think there are a few more micorlight heads around. After all, not every tom, dick and harry can afford ?350 +++++++++++ per hour.

Hello All,

Was just scanning through the forum and came across this section. If anyone is still interested in a Microlight Forum , please feel free to join the NMAI Forum. It was only started in December and already has 54 members. In order the have full access to the forum you will have to become a full member of the NMAI. www.nmai.ie

The main purpose for setting up the forum was for organising flyouts and flyins with fellow Microlighters over the coming summer months. Already a group of us tour together to all the different events. First Flyin of the season will be in Letterkenny on the 15th of March and also Sligo on the 16th of March. Plans are also well under way for the second Island Hop event,

So if you want to be an active Microlight Pilot and meet fellow aviators regularly, then please feel free to join the NMAI.

Damien.

Have the BB powers that be gave this any more thought?
I think a microlight section would benefit a lot of viewers, after all the magazine has carried some really excellent microlight stories over the past year or so.
