Note the early colour schemes of the Daks ( the fifties) so not scrapping or selling off. It was Baldonnel and were there as a result of being diverted from DAP due to fog. There were a number of former Air Corps pilots flying them including the Sgt Pilots. Very handy for using the mess facilities.

The date printed on the photo is no guarantee.I tended to disregard the date function and eventually disabled it. The gyro is an Australian type known as a G120,(120hp Subaru engine) registered EI-COG, to Rob Fidler. The event was the Anglo-Irish/SAAC/WFC Fly-In, probably of 1998, as it happens.
I've flown in both LongEzes,too. I also flew the aircraft in the hangar.Bonus point for anyone who can identify the type.
