2 is Birr for sure, and I am going to hazard at guess at 5 and say kilsheelin (near clonmel).

... Just because of the mountains in the background. It looks like a lovely strip!
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

Nice set of strip photos Jon, thanks for shearing them.

2. is Birr (Nanolight)
5. not Kilkeel/Aughrim the hill strip.
But I think it's Kilkeel/Nicholson's/Derryoge.
DGV if you got it from Kevins guide he know's he transposed
the two names.

I know 1, 3 and 4. but I wont say for now.

Hugo.

2 & 5 is Correct Lads....
Nicholsons in Kilkeel is a beautiful strip.... Suppose anywhere where a plane can be landed is lovely

Any idea about the other 3 strips ?
#4 should be pretty easy, I have not cropped out the detail so it should be easier to identify.

#4 looks wicked, and short too. All good fun. Good options there if the donkey stops on climbout.

#4 is a lot longer than it looks in that photograph.... look at it relation to the cars...
Another clue is that it is 600 metres + !!!
A very nice strip it is too...... but where is it ? :?:

A few clues:

1 & 3 are in close proximity to each other & are well established and used strips in the north of the country.

#4 is a new strip, close to the border, won't say which side.

If no correct answers by Sunday then I will name them.

No idea about no 4 but EFATO briefing on the runway heading shown must surely consist of: Land straight ahead in linear field between northbound and southbound motorways. Apply some left toe brake shortly after touching down on main wheels

Indeed it is Davy, it is a relatively new strip and it will hopefully become a well known one... hangarage will be built on site.

No1 & #3 are both in Donegal... No1 is Carnone and No3 is Drumavish. They are in close proximity to each other and used quite a lot by microlighters up in this part of the world.

Well done to all who got the others right ....
Hugoj air actually sent me a PM naming all the strips a while ago.
