JFH wrote:Hi to all,
If I go to Florida to get my FAA PPL(H) on R22, can I then use that licence to rent an EI reg R22 here in Ireland or would I have to convert my FAA PPL(H) to a JAA PPL(H)??
also, how long does a FAA PPL stay current??? because i know with the JAA PPL you have to fly at least 12 hours in your second year???
Cheers for replys guys....

You can fly a EI reg R22 or any other's up to a certain weight bracket {Grand 109's & S76's are included} on your FAA PPL(H) the only 2 helis you have to get signed off in are the R22 and the R44.....

Your Faa PPL(H) is current for 1 year if you have less than 200 hours, or 2 years if you have over 200 hours......

Please correct me if im wrong, im not long back from getting my FAA PPL(H)
