people my age are happier to borrow than work hard for a few months doing fugly duties and having all your training paid for with a guaranteed job of flying at the end of it!
Plus they want to fly nice shiny jets not boring old Cessna twins from Coventry or all places. You see they don't want real flying they want to be airline pilots.

I would have leapt at it, if it had been available when I was younger. It looks like some of the most interesting flying you can do and I would love to get my hands on a DC3.
Enjoy your time there.

I can vouch for the above, really (really) hard work but well worth it.
RVL should be taking applications until the end of the month and Atlantic will be hiring again around November so if your close to finishing your PPL or haven't got the full licence there's a bit of time to tidy it off.
Well worth it lads

Hiyas,
I just turned 27 in July and am saving all I need to (which I can assure you isn't much unlike going to flying schools here) and hoping to go to Australia to obtain my PPL & CPL which is a combined total of €27,000.

You guys could also try for CTC Sponsored Cadet Scheme.. They take you from 0 hrs to a jet job in one of their partner airlines. You do have to pay a bond of approx £65k but if you pass selection and get into the course they have an agreement with HSBC who can offer that amount unsecured.
CTC provide a type rating to you and although you start on a cadet wage with most of the partner airlines you get £1000pm tax-free on top of your basic.
It might suit you because they have no specified upper age limit.
