What's happened to Spanish Point?

I had it in my head that when I get my PPL, one of the first places to visit would be Spanish Point but I've noticed it's disappeared into thin air in the last year or two. Why is that? I see on the new half mil chart they have a Model Aircraft site in the same area....is that what's become of it??

Pity cos it was nice and central for the likes of the Cliffs of Moher, Burren, Aran Islands, etc

Ah good, I was way off then. It's just that I can't seem to find any info on it on the net apart from the odd reference to it here and there.

Does anyone know of a site with the details of all those 200 airfields, or at least some of them? I know of Kevin Glynn's book, it seems to be the only helpful info out there. Where can I pick up a copy?
