Is there any plans for Aer Lingus to purchase anything other than A330's for it's new long haul routes.

yes they have been looking at A350s but who knows what they will do.
FLY SNN and you'll be sure of a long take off!

Absolutely no chance of A340's for EI. DM doesn't like them from his experience at EK, and that's straight from the horses mouth.
The new 330's arriving have higher gross weights and thrust capabilities, enabling even the -300 to do the US West coast trips.
Screw you guys.....I`m going home.......

Rumour on another forum suggests that a Boeing 787 order may be on the cards.......bring back Boeing !!

it's nothing do with whether DM likes / dislikes 340's.....340's wont get MTOW off rwy 28/10, so they are stuck with twins as a choice. I think even the newer 340s are being out paced by the 777 200 and 300 ER's.
