New Irish Tour Operator, XL Leisure Group, Launches Bulgarian Destination fromIreland West Airport

On Wednesday evening, January 17th 2007, Ireland West Airport Knock and XL Leisure Group (Ireland) launched a highly demanded new holiday destination to Bourgas in Bulgaria. This new operator and its exciting destination will see direct flights operate from Ireland West Knock every Monday from May 7th to October 1st 2007. XL Leisure Group (Ireland) recently established itself in the Irish market and is a wholly owned subsidiary of XL Airways, one of the world�s leading charter airlines.

The new operation is headed up by Bill Smith, Managing Director and Carol Anne O�Neill, Commercial Director. Both have worked for many years in the travel industry in Ireland. Bill Smith was one of the founding members of Falcon Holidays in Ireland and became managing director and CEO for Falcon/JWT. Carol Anne O�Neill has an extensive background in the travel business in Ireland and was the former Operations Director for Falcon/JWT in Ireland.

XL Holidays, a destination specialist, is expected to introduce strong new competition in the sun holiday market and provide a wider choice to Irish holiday makers. In an industry that has seen rapid changes, XL Holidays comes at a time when both tour operators and the general public alike are seeking new options according to Mr Bill Smith, Managing Director, XL Leisure Group (Ireland). �We believe that the arrival of XL Leisure Group at Ireland West Airport Knock is good news for consumers, tour operators and travel agents in the West and North West region.
