    FlyU New Irish Startup??

    Hey everyone,

    Just to let you know what i came across in the papers today,

    New Irish Chartering service operating flights from its base in waterford and other flights from galway. THeyre recruiting captains and F/o for a position on a BAE 146-200, engineers, general manager, station manager and others,


    Looking forward to seeing them soon!
    When a flight is proceeding incredibly well, something was forgotten.

    Todays, SBP (Sunday Business Post), indicates flyu will start flight from Galway to Faro, Malaga and Bordeaux this suumer, operating on another airlines AOC.

    1 BAe146 to begin with, then starting Waterford flights shortly after the Galway launch...


    Is there a demand for Faro / Malaga from Galway, as I dont see Bordeaux being in demand if they could not keep a ERj145 full from Dublin on a daily Air france rotation.

    I honestly hope that they do well.
    I'm also taking bets that by Christmas they'll be gone.
    1 aircraft, small base, smaller destinations........

    And so FlyU have gone to the big airport in the sky ...

    From the recent press release from Waterford Airport, BAe146 services start from the 22nd of June with the flights being operated by Nordic Airways and bookings through Slattery Travel.

    Malaga, Faro & Bordeuax will each operate twice per week (No flights on a Thursday) until the end of September.

    The aircraft will be based in Galway and operate a W pattern to Waterford.

    Generally only the name FlyU is gone, as far as i know Nordic will be operating their BAE146-200 on their behalf.

    FlyU will return once they sort out their AOC
