There were reportedly larger aircraft using 25 for takeoff and landing during the recent windy weather. Didn't witness it myself (unless a Citation counts) but heard one Aer Lingus flight request 25 for takeoff over the scanner and heard of numerous others.
Sooo, with such a strong crosswind there's no need to lengthen the runway as less runway is required
