Aer Arann signs $180m plane deal

Post by Chaos » Mon May 15, 2006 1:31 pm

Regional airline Aer Arann has agreed to buy 10 new planes from French regional aircraft maker ATR over the next three years.

Aer Arann says the $180m deal is the third largest in Irish aviation history. The airline will replace and supplement its existing fleet of ATR aircraft, bringing its total to 20.

Managing director Padraig O C?idigh said the expansion would enable Aer Arann to develop its network further in to the UK and mainland Europe.

If only an ATR72 could be fitted with PW150 instead of PW127 and do FL250/360kt :D :D :D

360 IAS at FL250 sounds a bit fast for a turboprop. Would outrun everything bar the 747!
Screw you guys.....I`m going home.......
