Aer Lingus (EI/Dublin) will temporarily suspend its route from Cork to Faro for the winter season.

British Airways (Citiexpress) will temporarily suspend its route from Cork to Manchester.

The reductions ex MAN are due to BA subleasing 6 ARJs to Swiss/Lufthansa and the consequent redistribution of aircraft. BHX will also see changes but no Irish BA routes ex BHX so no change to be made.

Yes Aer Lingus will temporarily suspend its Faro route for the winter but its replacing it wth a flight to Warsaw.

warsaw,rome,amsterdam,CDG,nice,london and munchen are the routes.

The correct list of destinations operated by Aer Lingus for the winter are:

Amsterdam, Barcelona,Heathrow,Nice,Malaga,Munich,Paris CDG, Rome,Warsaw.

well they are selling seats on their web site to bcn. i'd be very surprised if they did, during the winter months the flights are normally full of golfers.

ya thats true,malaga is very popular too with the golfers,suppose they could of marketed faro especially with all the golf courses in the algarve

Looks like Ryanair are starting Cork-Dublin 3 daily and Cork-Gatwick 2 daily effective 24 Nov. Not yet showing on their own site, but if you go into the online timetables in the Cork and Dublin websites it is listing these flight/times.
If this is true there is gonna be one hell of a fight on these routes !!!

i think its true,ok we have Ryanair V Aer Arann and Ryanair V easyjet,is this the first ryanair V aer arann route head to head???
ryanair always complained about cork not being competitive,now theyve took action into their own hands.going to be very interesting...

That came from Pprune (just saw it!)

No harm to get a CHEAP flight to Dublin on BIG aircraft!
