Top left of panel, partially obscured by the glareshield, is a backup integrated flight display. Just like modern airliners. Horizon, altitude, speed and compass all one one little screen. Less space, weight and cost.
Reliability doesn't seem to be an issue. I've never seen one fail but then I've never seen the old style fail either!
However i think they're much harder to use than old style gauges. Everything is squeezed onto one small screen, very small and hard to read. It would be even worse if a flight director was also included.
