Yes, many remembered, there was a well attended memorial service today from the Monument at the Prom. in Tramore to the 248 crash site marked by the wooden cross.
Many of the old gang from Air Corps were there, CHC/Irish Coast Guard's S61N, EI-SAR, did a fly past at 3 pm.
The memorial service was informal but appropriate.
