oldest cadet in the air corps??

Post by Hornet » Mon Aug 27, 2007 7:18 pm

i have seen the oldest cadet to ever serve with the air corps today..called charlie 7 this avro cadet is a biplane that served with the air corps during the war years and is now back home after being bought from a new zealand seller last year...it was doing circuts today but was using grass rather than the main runways...sounded funny to hear "finals runway 29 grass" being called. .. looked really good and sounded even better... could even hear the "putt putt putt " of the engine over the radio comms....
