Today the Irish Air Corps gave a formation display over the site of the crash of the Halifax Bomber, which crashed there in November 7th 1943. All 7 crew were lost. The airmen that died were from England Australia and Canada.
Even tho i'm not involved in any way with the event, which I've just attended I'd like to take the opportunity to thank the Air Corps for their as always brilliant display. They arrived perfectly on time at 3pm sharp, and displayed in 5 aircraft formation for 10 mins, and a solo display for 5.
I feel the presence of The Air Corps was an appropriate jesture to all whom attended from overseas, and to all the British, Canadian and Australian militry people and representatives present.
I might add a picture of the momument here in the coming days.
