    They will be WFU as soon as the AW139's are fuly Operational, your last chance to see an A3 will prob be at the 2007 Salthill Airshow

    I have to say they will be missed by enthusiasts and pilots alike. Although I remember on a recent visit to Baldonnel (the day before the first AW's arrived), an engineer commented that he'd prefere to have more complex overhaules, rather than almost weekly ones with the Alo's!

    Very interesting craft to be inside too, uniquely simple, I could recognise most of the gauges from R22's and even C152's... Some museum or collector will have great fun with them.

    What about the C-172 Reims Rockets?? They still going to stay in service for another while??..

    Until a replacement is found (although I'm not sure what the new role will require) - probably go upto something more versaitle than a C208 but along the same lines with low operating costs. One critical thing to note is, if the Corps wants to keep using smaller aerodromes (as they did with Hacketstown, Clonbulloge and Abbeyshrule) a small aircrraft will be required... we'll see

    The set retirement day for the Allouette 3's is middle-end
    of august 2007. :cry:

    Hope so see them on Salthill.
