These are the places I know about.

www.nfc.ie

www.skytrace.ie

Both these schools operate from Weston Airport, the main field for G.A just outside Dublin.

www.westonaiport.com

Which airport do you fly out of in Spain?

Thanks Cosmic... I've taken a look at the web but i've a doubt, Self-Fly Hire ?110 but, it's true that i have to do 5 hours with an instructor before i can take the plane on my own??
How long does it take to go from Dublin to Weston airport by bus?
I usually operate in LECU (Cuatro Vientos, Madrid)

Regards...

Panichorn, Hey Cool I have done some flying out of Cuatro Vientos. I had a really great time there and loved staying in Madrid near Plaza Mayor. The Spanish people are very laid back, all the instructors and examiners were great guys.

I understand with NFC at least that you have to do 5 hours dual with one of their instructors, this is an insurance requirement as far as I can tell.

From the city centre it would take about an hour on the bus, more at rush hour(s).

Cosmic ---->Wow..!! 5 hours to fly with my brother it's very expensive for me at this moment, in Spain it's necessary 30 minutes, perhaps 1 hour to do touch and goes and ready to fly... :(

La Plaza Mayor!! LOL.. nice place.

Mikekilo ---> I haven't seen any spanish FI in the staff section :?

Thanks a lot for the information but i guess my next flight will be in Spain

Don't be put off to much by the "5 hours" thing- Ireland's skies are fairly empty- most of the time- its a great place to fly! :D

To get to Weston from the city you can take the bus.

I think its the 66 / 66A / 66B you're looking for;

You can find timetables here:

http://www.dublinbus.ie/your_journey/se ... 6A:66B:66X:

There is a Spanish instructor with Skytrace anyway at Weston.

Cheers,

D.

Hi

For buses get the 67 to Celbridge. 66XXX only go to Lucan , Leixlip etc...

Its about 40mins on the bus DUB to Weston. Ask the Driver to let you know when you are near.
