A380 First Flight This Week- Live Webcast

Post by flighty »

Was sent the following mail from an Airbus mailout over the weekend, you can register for the event at airbus.com.
Should provide a welcome break from work

Enjoy
-----------
The Airbus team is pleased to include you among the privileged visitors who are offered the possibility to watch the live broadcast of the A380 First flight on Airbus.com.

We would like to inform you that there is a strong possibility that the A380 will fly next week. We cannot give you an exact date and time as maiden flights are subject to many conditions that we cannot control such as weather conditions.

Therefore, from Monday 25 April, please consult our web site every morning (GMT+2) for more information.

Just before the day of the first flight, the site will display pages dedicated to the event, including a special A380 lounge reserved for watching the live broadcast of the first flight.

The world?s biggest passenger plane took to the skies for the first time today.

The Airbus A380, which will be able to carry 555 passengers, took off smoothly at Toulouse Blagnac airport in southern France.

In brilliant sunshine and clear skies, the ?150 million double-decker superjumbo left the tarmac just before 10.30am local time (9.30am UK time).

:D The Scarebus A 380 took to the skies over France . After a near perfect takeoff run she rotated around 180mls/hr and actually flew as expected proveing yet again that we are emminently capabale of pursueing the banal>concorde < with the positively rediculous a vehicle that can only really come into its full potential once a year ferrying the faithful to and from Mecca, Blessed be their endeavours .Lighter than air is the concept we should really be working on not these huge leviathans of the air. And just to be really finicky the props should be solar powered.
The scarebus A380 has been passed as fit to be admired and the captain wishes all who will if possible fly in her in the future a pleasant flight.
