Fast Jets will be there i hope but as far as we were told last year via the PA the German Navy are finished with overseas displays as they are getting rid of the Tornado and bringing in the Eurofighter..

i cant wait,im goin checkin in for the weekend, was anyone there on the saturday at around 2pm last year, the tornados were practicing, the exact same what they did in the show, air to air refuelling demo etc.the best was when one tornado was coming past the crowd very slow and the other took over it at bout mach.95.i would love to see them break the sound barrier but obviously der not allowed cause of the proximity to building etc.

I'm definitely going - I can't wait because it's going to be my first airshow -ever-. Yes yes I feel like a 7 year old... I'm just going to be hopping around the place. Will I have a problem finding parking or anything? What time should I arrive?

    :P

Yea, salthill is always really good, havent missed one yet.
If I rember correctly they usually close off the whole of salthill just before the show starts. So you probably have to park in the surrounding estates.
There is really no need to be there extermely early, unless you want a seat on the rocks. The beauty about salthill is that no matter where you stand you can usually get a really good view.

A number of traffic diversions will be in place in Salthill
on Sunday 4th July due to the Air Show.
Gardai will be diverting traffic away from the main Saltill thoroughfare at Kenehans shop, at the junction of Dr Colohan Road and Grattan Road, at the junction of Dr Mannix Road and Threadneedle Road, and at the junction of Threadneedle Road and the Promenade.

Diversions will also be in place at the junctions on Dr Mannix Road at Oaklands, Dalysfort Road, and Rockbarton Road. All diversions will come into effect at 12pm on Sunday.

Gardai are asking all drivers to remove their vehicles from the Promenade car park before 12midnight on Saturday the 3rd and from the main road along the Promenade by 11am on the day.

Any vehicles parked in this area after 11am will be towed away.

Car parking will be available at St. Mary's College, St. Mary's Road and St. Enda's College, Threadneedle Road.

Drivers are advised to avoid the main road in Salthill as huge crowds are expected to attend the show.

**That was last years Information for Driving etc i dont think much will change this year**

St Endas is probably the best place to park, they open up their soccer and football pitches, and its only a few minutes walk from the prom.

Excellent news about the Tornado and Jaguar. :D
