Anyone out there with good knowledge of the planning system?

Post by mark » Thu Feb 07, 2013 7:48 pm

Hi all,

Recent developments before An Bord Pleanala has established that airstrips may not be exempt from planning permission. We have been sent some documentation relating to a case of an airstrip in Co. Wicklow.

Is there anyone out there that has a good knowledge of the planning system that would be interested in writing a short article about this case and its implications for other Irish airstips / farmstrips? You can contact me at mark@flyinginireland.com or PM me.

Regards,
Mark

Update: Airstrips are definitely not exempt from planning permission.

An ILAS Member in Co. Wicklow tested this with an Bord Pleanala.
