As far as I know nothing has been put up for sale yet. McKey Auctioneers are just gathering, what they call, "a level of interest" to assist the liquidator in making his mind over Christmas. Hopefully he won't have too much brandy butter on his pudding and will make a right decision. I think we all had some good and bad days in Weston, but mostly good. I did my first preflight briefing on a snooker table upstairs in the old cottage, the place has gone long way since then. It's a great asset for aviation in Ireland I hope it will remain like so for many more years.
Regards SP

I thought that the Buccaneer belonged to Christie Keane?

I suspect this sale is just a paperwork exercise to make the possible future sale of Weston a little easier. Two companies associated with Weston are in receivership, one owns the airfield and buildings and the other owns the fixtures and fittings. If the airfield company buys the fixtures and fittings then the future sale only involves one company. I would imagine that would make it a lot easier.

It might mean a buyer might have been found. Let's hope so!

I really hope that they (whoever they are) can keep Weston open.
Real shame if anything happened to it.

Yeah, but I didn't win it on Friday ! But if I do win the Euromillions before it's sold, I will be buying the whole lot...and that's a promise.
