Lundy Island 10th Anniversary Fly In

Post by cubpilot » Mon Jul 04, 2011 3:32 pm

Ok I know not an Irish Fly In but the Devon LAA Strut are hosting the 10th Fly In to Lundy Island on 7th August. Lundy, just a few miles off the North Devon coast has had an air strip ( of sorts) from the late 1920s and is one of those destinations that anyone with an aircraft that can handle a short strip should try to visit at least once. Normaly quiet, except on Fly In day, it is a nature reserve and well worth visiting. Camping is allowed for overnght stops and the Marisco Tavern will supply your food and drink requirements.
Full details from http://www.devonstrut.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and PPR plus briefings from (0)1752 406660.
A GAR form would be required to the NCU and the police notification to the Devon and Cornwall Police exeterports.crime@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk. if you fly direct from ireland. ( no fuel on the island)

What a great place to have in your logbook, will try and get to this :D
The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no.
