Re: Trim Fly-in and bbq

Hello all, Id just like to say a big thankyou to all who braved the crosswinds on 28 at EITM on Sunday to make it an excellent day out for all, the annual bbq at Trim Airfield had a good balance of aviators and non aviators on the day. The Search and Rescue guys put on a marvellous display with the big S-61 Sikorsky and so too the Garda air support unit and the Aer Corp. A big thanks to EI-HUM for making it down too. Trim had great help from Joe Mcdermott and Paddy with their marshalling experience taking a very professional and coordinated approach to the marshalling of visiting/departing aircraft....well done Lads.

In relation to the above post by fast oiseau id like to say the person they have commented on did an extremely good job on the day under pressure and did so with very little help and when you take into account some people involved with the organisation of this event had to voluntarily put the time, work, and financial input into this for everyone else's benefit without asking or taking anything in return and without knowing exactly how many people are going to arrive, I can only take my hat off to them and the success it turned out to be.

And again thankyou to all the visiting aircraft, which continues to prove how great a ga presence there is in Ireland in not easy times for anyone.

Well done to the committee, members and their families of Trim Flying Club who made the day happen.

Thanks Leading Edge for kind words for Follow Me Marshallers, great working with EITM club members. Myra Gleeson kept us all well fed & watered. Crackin turnout considering strong xwinds. Great to see Coast Guard, GASU & Air Corps support as well as the Cubs, Cruisers, RVs & HUM of course ! Also Ian/Ken & Gerry with the JetRanger & Hughes. There should be plenty of pics in the August issue. Roll on Clonbullogue :D
