Shannon AIS now using Aviators Guide

Post by aviatorsguide »

After filing so many last minute, and from memory flight plans over the phone with Shannon AIS it made sense to make a visit and get them a copy of the edition 2 "Aviators Guide" so that AIS could really understand all the locations they hear about, but have no idea where they are or what they look like. Felt it was very useful for them to know that when your DEP is Dowth Hall and your DEST is Dingle - they should know exactly where you're talking about.

Now that AIS have a copy, you can simply reference them the page numbers for each strip or waypoint and they have it there in front of them. Makes sense to me, and I'm sure the benefit will be felt by all of us using the AIS flight planning system. Surprising to note they had only an old Pooleys there to reference, and now well lets say they have the full picture.
