    EI BKL

    by Tubular » Wed Mar 30, 2011 12:33 pm

Hi All, just joined FII, glad to be here, I was wondering if anyone has pix of EI BKL, A Reims Rocket which was used in Farranfore in the late 70's early 80's for the Munster Skydiving Club!?
My father was the pilot but sadly he has misplaced all the photos of this time!
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Tubular,

I have a reasonable collction of aircraft photos from that era, but sadly not one of EI-BKL. If I had you would have been welcome to a copy free of charge. Hopefully someone else will oblige. Failing that, this website http://www.ajjcollection.co.uk/details.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is SELLING copies of EI-BKL with medium resolution/quality JPG images by email are £5.50 each for private, non-commercial use. Personally I would not pay a red cent for a photo. I have a website http://www.irishavsites.com/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; with many of my own aviation photos plus many more added by visitors. I would have no problem with anyone downloading MY OWN PHOTOS to use how they wish.
Hope you dont have to pay, but if all else fails, it's an option.

    Hugo.

Thanks for your tips Hugo, I dont think I will go that route of paying for a photo, the memories will have to do!

Oscar Bravo, I have a photo of 1/2 of EI-BAO when it was based in Farranfore, I doubt its much good to you!
When I say 1/2, its in the background of a photo of EI-AUO with father and son posing in front of it

    Tubular,

Don't give up just yet. Renew your request every now and again as not all member's are regular post readers.

    Oscar Bravo,

I have pics of two of the three you asked for. Missing is EI-CIK Mooney M.20C (2620). Very rarely got as far as
Galway when I was doing the rounds in the 80's and 90's. I got BAO at Weston 23.01.1991 and CUB at Carrickfin 23.05.1992. I'll try and place them in the photo gallery where hopefully you will be able to view them soon.
These and hundreds more of my old collection will in time be added to my database.

Glad you like the photos OB. It will be while before I get to add the whole collection to my Irishavsites database.

@ Hugo, thanks for EI BAO, great memories of that in Farranfore!
I spent hours in that aircraft as a child, it was sometimes used for parachute drops when EI BKL was in IONA for a "medical"
