Amphibious aircraft in UK/Eire

Post by The Cameraman » Wed Jan 05, 2005 8:26 pm

Good Evening chaps & chapesses,

I wonder if any of you kind folk could offer me any assistance in my ongoing project of photographing any amphibious aircraft operating within the Uk & Eire?

Museum item's arn't that important, as they don't really move! It's aircraft that may be hiding at your local airfield/private sites or lakes that are important.

So can you help?

Kindest regards

Stuart (Reggie) Martindale AKA The Cameraman

There's a Maule based on Loch Derg I think but i'm not sure of its reg.

Hi Mark,

thank you for the information. I'm hoping to make a motorcycle tour of Ireland later this year, so it looks like there's a few items to concentrate on to say the least!

I remember arriving at Manchester airport just as that beautiful Goose was departing, what a sight she made. I was sad to hear of her ground loop accident a couple of years ago but I'm really pleased to discover she's being re-built. Does anyone have a point of contact re the Goose so I could request permission to photograph her?

Kindest regards

Stuart,

PM me or email me at mark@flyinginireland.com with the details of when you're visiting and I should be able to get you access to the three amphibians at Weston.

Regards,
Mark
