Waterford Fly-In

Post by alphaLaura » Mon Jul 12, 2010 4:47 pm

Just to remind everyone that Waterford Aero Club's fly-in and BBQ is on next Saturday, beginning at 11 am :D The food is free, the landings are free and even the entertainment is free!

Cmon guys! Its going to be a great day! Weather looks fine for saturday, we have two great competitions taking place, one for the Best ETA and one for the tablequiz. Both prizes are sponsored by Atlantic AirVenture and are 1 Hour Vouchers in their Boeing 737-800NG Simulator!!!!

Hope to see a lot of registrations over the next few days!!!

Hi Laura & all

Dont think I'll make it this year, unfortunately.

Best of luck with it, and if last years bbq is anything to go by, would recommend to anybody.

Cheers

Alpha Laura,
I may be able to make it this year as i am roughly only 40 miles away ATCF on Saturday, but by road because, i am delivering heavy weight load, plus my permit is out and time to renew @ the moment is unavailable.
If the Duchess is up to it, i may even bring her too.

In light of poor weather, we have taken the decision to postpone our fly-in, scheduled to take place tomorrow, July 17th, until August. We regret this choice but we hope that the weather will be kinder to us in the later summer especially for the people who wish to camp overnight! Please note that, for club members and friends (even if you're interested in flying), the BBQ will still take place tomorrow at noon. Come along to say hello, chat to fellow fliers and eat lots and lots of food!

Have you chosen a weekend in August yet? I'd just like to put it into my diary so that I keep it free if it's not already filled!

That weather decision was a real shame.

I had a nice flight to Waterford from Biggin Hill, VFR all the way and a couple of Brian's burgers upon arrival.

Please keep us posted on the new date, as I hope to be back in Ireland by mid August and would really like to attend.
