Trying to track down a Lake Buccaneer

Post by patrickc » Tue Mar 23, 2010 9:42 pm

Message from a friend in Canada:
I have a neighbor whose late boyfriend bought a Lake Buccaneer A/C. After he died, he left everything he owned to her. She thinks the LA4 is in Ireland, with something wrong with it (like the propeller). I have asked her to find the registration letters of the aircraft. His name was Donald Macaulay or something like that. This might be a job for your investigative skills... I'll try to find out more...
Anyone seen a plane like this around, or know anything about it?

Possible contender is G-BASO which has been stored minus prop at (Eglinton) City of Derry Airport for many years now. Go to G-INFO and type in BASO in the registration box.
