Brief update on this..
IAA have provided AOPA Ireland with the following..
The Controled airspace will not come into effect until a Repeater Station is installed in Donegal Region.
Class C airspace will not operate without an ATS in operation in Eglinton.
This will ONLY be class C when an ATS are active and arrivals/departures are due.
Eglinton MUST publish operation times in IRISH NOTAMS
Transition of the airspace when active, will be accepted by any A/C on application.
CAA/Eglinton has been advised of Irish Air Law on mandatory Class C for ILS.
Those wishing to cross Loug Foyle/Swilly during Class C operation will be accomodated on a safe altitude.
AOPA Ireland invites anyone who knowingly has information of breaches of the above once it proceeds, to contact them on firstname.lastname@example.org
, explaining exactly what the breach entailed.
We shall have no hesitation in following on from your input!
eg. ILS traffic wthout ATS, Non contact during published hours, etc.
