They own and operate 35 Airports in the US.
Another blow for GA??????????????????????????????
FlyingInIreland.com:- THE Resource for Irish Aviation Information
Regarding GA,one way of keeping residents happy is to reduce the current movements which will stop alot of training etc.
It might be worth a mention,Piedmont adopted this policy at some of the Airports they acquired in the US in the past.
Time will tell!!!
Chances are the airport was there long before them so they should ram it up there hole, and shut up, and politicians shoudn't entertain there self interests, if it wasn't airtraffic it would be something else, (Its just one of those things that really annoys me!)
Anyway as for an American company buying Weston, I think it is great, the Americans have a far far better and more practical way of doing things when it comes to Aviation, I look foward to watching the airport grow for the better.
Its good that its an aviation company buying it and not some profit seeking beancounter adding to his investment portfolio and ego.
You are in the know my friend, alot of people in EIWT dont even know whats going on.
Your info seems to be from a stateside source!!!
Not to sure what sort of effect this move will have on NFC,EHA,or Eirecopter there are huge movements from those three alone.
Iam sure Piedmont will keep training at Weston but will it be theirs or a third party!!!
Judging by the comments above, there is a bit of a leak going on in Weston.
I heard through an aviation connection in Washington last week.
Dont see it having much of an affect on current operations at Weston, if anything it will make things even better.
