Fighter Jet

Post by cleared to land »

Hay all,

I'm sitting at my desk looking out the window and two fighter jets have just flown overhead they look like two tornados. I don't think I'm going mad. Anyone any ideas!!

About what?
You pass this way but once, there is no such thing as normal. There is you and the rest, now and forever. Do as you damn well please or you could end up being a pot-bellied, hairless boring old fart.

My "idea" is that you're fired if your boss reads this, tut, tut, tut, plane spotting when you should be at your desk working, that is of course, unless your desk is in a classroom, in which case, you're going to get detention for not concentrating in class!!!!! :D

A small single engine swept wing jet passed this way last week, on long finals for runway 29 at Baldonnel. Are we being invaded? Defence Forces equipment upgrade?

They're jets but not fighters, just the usual now routine visits by Alpha Jet trainers of the French Air Force. It's a regular thing now, it seems to be a long cross country (or countries) exercise. They usually overnight.

If they keep this up, people living near Baldonnel will think we have an actual air force with jet fighters. Sadly it's just an illusion.

I would have thought the visits would present a ready made article for the magazine, Mark? Although maybe they are a complete secret and it never happened. NATO aircraft visiting Ireland routinely, never!

I think we're missing the biggest issue of all here.

Is the desk in question proper wooden or is it one of those cheap mdf with a veneered top jobs from the likes of Homebase or B&Q :?:
