Jim,

Head S from town centre. Go L onto the N52/N62 signed for Roscra. Follow the N62 heading S and the airfield is on your L, 2.5km from the town. Phone
clubhouse on 0509-21300.

Taxi from town, They have coffee and biscuits always.... A very nice airfield with a warm welcome, one of my favourites.

Shame there weren't more aircraft there yesterday. Did any more show up in the afternoon?

Over the course of the afternoon 20 plus aircraft. Some wonderful cross wind landing skills on show. A couple of others made the wise decision not to push their luck, wag their wings and headed for home.

Well done to the Birr crew for their hospitality as always. For the effort they put in they did not deserve the weather hand they were dealt.
