Weather's looking crap. My head is melted as well cause I was relying on decent weather that evening for a yokiebob I am doing myself.

But on the plus, if ye postpone again, I might be able to make the next one!
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

Much too early to call the weather! The charts have been changing up to 12 hours in advance of the forecast for the last few weeks so we can remain optimistic for another couple of days.
The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no.

Would love to make this one at the weekend, but this horrible weather looks like it may not play ball, forecast says rain for PM on Saturday and rain on Sunday..... its just typical of this bloody country at the moment.... still, if it looks like we could get an opening then we will get a few crews from Letterkenny down for the craic.

Yes, it's the way to go. This year was the 1st year we got a good show of planes at Letterkenny for our annual bash... but like yourselves we adopted the attitude of running it no matter the weather. We pre sell around 300 tickets for the BBQ/Hooley in any case, it leaves the function finincally secure no mater what happens.
Hopefully the weather gives the event a window to permit arrivals by air, will be a good event, missed the past few years as it seemed to be on during the our holidays away, would like to make it this year.

Quick look at the weather indicates it should be good for arrivals on Satruday. Seems to be a bit of stuff passing through later in the day on Saturday and early Sunday morning. Should be clearing later on Sunday for people going home :).

I'd like to thank everyone who made the effort to travel down to our BBQ :).

It was a fantastic success, we had 22 aircraft that made it in ! We served about 200 burgers over the whole day, and about as many sausages !

Fingers crossed for better weather for next years event !
