EI-EHE

Post by danelane2000 »

This morning around 7AM i was listening to the scanner, into Cork APP, TWR and GND.

EHE was handed off from APP to tower, as it goes " Cork tower Heli. EI-EHE base RWY 17". TOWER: EHE cleared direct to the club report over head the club winds e.g 120/06kts" then it goes again:
Cork tower Heli. EI-EHE base RWY 17. and the tower sais the same thing.

EI-EHE's radios went down when he was trying to talk to tower and eventually he went back to APP and told her, so she gave him his landing clearence.

Patrick,

EI-EHE is actually EI-EHC, a Robinson R22 of Executive Helicopters Limited.
Those scanners arn't a 100% clear sometimes so it is easy to hear wrong.
Interesting about the radios....

Aidan

Frosty,

EI-EHE is an R22 owned by Executive Helicopters, it was only added to the aircraft register this month so chances are Patrick is right.

Mark

Yeah guys, my mistake
I know that pilot, I met him at the airport before.
He's from Finland and is working as a trainer in Cork for a while. He's trained for companies all over the world. Nice chap :D Couldn't pronounce his name for all the world :!: :!:

Aidan
